Red-Tip Rabbit-Tobacco, an annual weed that is often found in areas where soil has been disturbed, making farm land an attractive habitat. This member of the Asteraceae family is native to Eurasia, but has recently become common throughout Western Oregon.
Field bindweed (Convolvulus arvensis)
Field bindweed is an invasive summer perennial, consisting of small white trumpet flowers, that cover most of Oregon. This member of the morning glory family can thrive in an area for up to 20 years with roots as far as nine feet into the ground. To lessen property of field bindweed apply 2,4-D annually, which reduces stand by 60-80% and prevents seed establishment.
Queen Anne's Lace, also known as "Wild Carrot" is commonly found in throughout fields, roadsides, and ditches in the Willamette Valley. This plant can grow up to 4 feet tall with long stems, fern like leaves, and small white flowers. The large taproot is edible, as it is wild carrot.
Common Groundsel (Senecio vulgaris)
Common Groundsel is an annual weed that can be found along roadsides, gardens, and in cool, moist, nutrient rich, cultivated soils. Due to the preferred environment of Common Groundsel, it can regularly be seen throughout Western Oregon. This upright weed grows to be 18-24 inches in height with 1/4 -1/2 inch yellow tubular flower heads.
Creeping Speedwell (Veronica filiformis)
Creeping Speedwell is a vertically growing creeping perennial. This weed thrives in shady areas with moist fertile soils. An identifying feature of Creeping Speedwell is its attractive, light blue flowers.

Curly dock (Rumex crispus)
Curly dock is a herbaceous perennial broadleaf plant, with tall erect stems, growing up to 4 feet in height. The plant can be identified by its long narrow leaves with wavy margins. Curley dock can be found throughout wet areas in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest.

Purple Deadnettle
An annual with square stems, usually branched from the base. Native to europe and established in North America. flowers are 2 lipped, pink to purple and borne in the axils of the upper leaves.
