CPS Mid Valley Team Members


                                                     Steve Gapp- Manager

Steve was Born in Ohio and spent his childhood in Illinois before moving to Oregon in 1971. He graduated from Oregon State University in 1976 and married his wife of 38 years shortly thereafter. Steve and his wife have raised three children together. He has been employed by WFS/CPS for 32 years and has been a licensed crop consultant since 1979. While serving as Mid Valley CPS manager, Steve has also been involved with various  industry organizations including Agribusiness Council of Oregon and Ag Fest. His favorite crop to work with is blueberries!

Norm Klampe- Crop Adviser

Norm has put in many dedicated years to WFS/CPS, as he began employment in 1985. Norm is now a well experienced crop adviser, but has held management positions in the past. He has used his degree from Oregon State University, class of 1971, to help him get where he is today. Norm's favorite part of his job is working directly with growers, as well as working with multiple generations on one farm. While not working Norm enjoys spending his time golfing, woodworking, and fishing on many of Oregon's beautiful rivers. 



Barry Caldwell- Crop Adviser


Barry has worked at Crop Production Service for 20 years as a crop adviser for growers all over the mid-valley. He is an Oregon State University Alumni with a degree in crop science. Barry currently lives in Newberg and has an office in Rickreall. He offers a great amount of knowledge and input to CPS employees and customers. In his spare time Barry enjoys jogging and exploring the outdoors. 




                                               Ian Roth- Crop Adviser

Ian, an Oregon State University alumni, resides in Corvallis with his wife. He works in the Rickreall /Amity area as an enthusiastic fieldman with CPS. Previously, Ian has worked for the timberline division of Crop Production Services. In his spare time, Ian enjoys exploring the great                                             outdoors. 




Don Welliver- Crop Adviser

Don brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Crop Production Services. He has worked with many different crops, but now focuses on berry production. When not at work, Don can be found riding his mules or enjoying many outdoor activities. 






Jonathan Blatchford- Crop Adviser

Jonathan started work at Crop Production Services as a field scout in 2013. He has since graduated from Oregon State University with a degree in Crop Sciences and has started a career as a crop adviser. He mainly works with grass seed and row crops, but enjoys learning and working with all crops. When not at work Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and friends. 




Kasey Erm- Crop Adviser

Kasey began her career at Crop Production Services as a field scout and has transitioned into a crop adviser position. She was a member of the Oregon State University class of 2014, graduating with a degree in Agricultural Business Management and a minor in Crop Sciences. She enjoys working with the wide variety of crops grown in the Willamette Valley, but especially enjoys working with hazelnuts and wine grapes. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse and exploring the outdoors. 



Zach Halligan- Crop Adviser 

Zach began his career as a crop adviser at CPS after farming on his family's farm for 10 years in the Monmouth area. Prior to farming Zach completed a Business and Management degree from Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. Zach calls Monmouth home, along with his wife and three children. He enjoys his job for many reasons including learning multiple crop systems and working                                with a variety of farmers. 





Jaclyn Block- Crop Adviser

Jaclyn stated working at Crop Production Services in June of 2013 as an administration coordinator and recently transition to a field scout. She is an animal science graduate of Oregon State and has an extensive farming background. She enjoys learning about the different kinds of crops and the inputs needed. In her spare time she can be found riding her horse, enjoying the outdoors and spending time with her husband.
